About Our Classes
Artist Inclusive Environment
From Kindergarten to adult, every artist is welcome at our studio. If your child can only draw stick figures, you are in the right place. If your child has a passion for art, you are also in the right place! In class, we meet each artist at whatever level they are at and encourage their effort. Fun adult classes will be available upon request with a minimum class of 3, beginners are welcome! Our calm, safe, and supportive Christian learning environment and structured classes are the perfect antidotes to overcoming fears and stress.
Sensory Art Experience
Sensory art consists of specific art activities that relate to your child's senses such as touch, sight, sound, smell, and taste. A variety of materials, still life, mediums, tools, and hands-on techniques will be provided so students gain skills, focus, awareness, and self-esteem. Sensory-rich experiences develop coordination, creativity, confidence, and self-expression. By providing a variety of sensory art activities and projects your child will naturally learn how to explore, investigate and create. These are the beginning steps to raising creative and well-rounded thinkers.
One-on-one Attention
Your young artist will receive one-on-one attention and customized instruction from Mia Robinson who has over 21 of experience. Our goal is to teach art-making techniques in a relaxing and supportive environment! Classes are designed by age/grade groups in order to developmentally connect and engage with each other. Come celebrate the joy of creating art together with us.
Online Zoom Art Lessons
Nurture your child’s creativity as they explore multiple mediums in our online Zoom art classes and in-person classes. Spark their imagination as they learn art techniques through fun and exciting new art projects every 1 to 2 weeks depending on the medium.
Portfolio
At the end of each school year, each young artist will have created a memorable portfolio of art pieces, with frame-worthy artwork to share with family and friends! Many of our young artists win awards in local art shows for their amazing artwork. Please visit our website gallery. High school students can develop a portfolio for college admission in their desired field of study. Get ready to turn your home into a gallery and fill your walls with art.

STUDIO COVID-19 POLICY
As the new school year starts, and due to ongoing health concerns, I want to touch base and establish the Covid Safety Precautions moving forward. I will be running virtual and in-person classes with limited capacity. While we are aware that the CDC’s mask mandate may vary, I understand that a diverse spectrum of opinions exists around this topic.
Students, parents, and family members will not be required to wear masks. Students who appear to not feel well will not be allowed in class – if you or your child has a fever or symptoms of any illness, please be mindful to keep him/her at home and let us know how we may help. Your child will be able to attend class via Zoom during the time of any illness. If your child becomes ill during any class or camp, your child will be assisted, and you will be required to pick up your child. The health and wellness of our students, our families, and our instructors are our top priority.
All families and students enrolled in our in-person classes will be expected to follow the Art Studio Safety Guidelines that have been put in place to help protect everyone. The studio will be kept clean with both traditional, antiviral, and antibacterial products as well as HEPA Air Filters and ventilation will be used. Each student will have their own supplies that will be sanitized at the end of each class. When possible, classes will be held outside in the studio garden area. Students will also be able to take breaks for fresh air.
I appreciate your attention to this matter, and I'm excited to see your smiling faces however possible! Stay safe and well. Thank you so much for your support and cooperation during this time.
Feel free to email miarobinsonart@gmail.com with any questions or concerns.

Our students have been accepted to these outstanding colleges

Our students have won art competitions, and scholarships, and many of our art students have enrolled in excellent colleges & art schools in the U.S. due to a good foundation in visual arts. Whether their career choice was in the arts or related field or even a STEM field, the arts have been proven to make a difference.
Even if your child is not applying to an art college, many colleges see the value in accepting a supplementary art portfolio with their applications. An art portfolio speaks volumes about the student's personality, motivations, maturity, virtues, and qualities.
Let's continue to keep our young artists in our prayers as they move forward into their chosen fields and into the path God has for them. Congratulations! and always take the time to create!
“If you don’t go after what you want, you’ll never have it. If you don’t ask, the answer is always no. If you don’t step forward, you’re always in the same place.” –Nora Roberts
