ArtVentures | 3:18, established by Mia M. Robinson in 2001, grew out of her lifelong calling to teach and inspire young artists. Having taught art since 1996, Mia entered this work with a deep desire to bring the joy of creativity, confidence, and personal achievement to children. What began as a simple passion for nurturing young creatives blossomed into a full studio vision—one designed to help children preserve their childhood essence, learn healthy coping skills, and discover the gifts God placed within them.
The mission of ArtVentures is to guide local and homeschooled young people in uncovering and developing their visual-art talents, empowering them to express themselves boldly, build self-assurance, think creatively, take meaningful artistic risks, and cultivate personal responsibility. These creative disciplines naturally strengthen career readiness, environmental awareness, positive identity, and academic versatility that carries into every area of life.
Mia is committed to offering engaging, professional art instruction in a setting that is welcoming, structured, and joyfully supportive for children, teens, and adults. The studio’s diverse curriculum includes traditional art training across multiple mediums, art appreciation, and a cultivated love for learning. With an extensive art library, still-life setups, digital-art tools, high-quality supplies, and dedicated outdoor drawing and painting areas, ArtVentures provides a robust learning experience, including an imaginative K–12 curriculum aligned with the National Standards for Visual Arts Education.
Students enjoy hands-on exploration in drawing, painting, sculpture, mosaics, printmaking, collage, and more. Art becomes a pathway for discovering new parts of themselves—strengthening critical thinking, problem-solving, and authentic self-expression that leads to joyful, unexpected, and deeply satisfying outcomes.
At the heart of ArtVentures|3:18 is the belief that creativity is God-given, woven into the very design of humanity. When we create, we reflect the Creator. Through each artwork, students bring His beauty, presence, and purpose into the world—becoming a living expression of the magnificence He placed within them.

About Our Studio
God created us to be creative beings. The more we create, the more we are like Him. We bring His presence and glory to this world when we, in His likeness, create. This brings Him much glory, which is our purpose.
“Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for thou hast created all things,
and for thy pleasure, they are and were created.” Revelation 4:11 (KJV)

About Mia Robinson
Director / Visual Arts Educator
Mrs. Mia was born and raised in Palm Beach County, Florida with an interest in art and education and was fortunate at an early age to have four very important artistic mentors (her mother, Mrs. Jacquelyn G. Moore, and her Uncles Maceo, & Edward Golson and Kathryn Jackson of Panama City Beach Fl. who were a great influence in helping her realize her passion for the visual arts. . During her time in college, classroom training, and a six-year assignment in the Air Force, she became increasingly interested in sharing her knowledge and passion for art, as her mentors had with her. Because of the support and encouragement of theirs and other mentors that came along, she decided to pursue a career in Early Childhood Education and the Visual Arts. As a result of this interest, she began to teach classes. Mrs. Mia quickly realized how rewarding her work with children and young adults was, and at that point, she decided to dedicate herself entirely to teaching the visual arts. After eleven years of teaching in Panama City, Florida, and Bellevue, Nebraska; she opened her own studio in Southern Maryland. She has held classes in the Waldorf area, Cheltenham, Md and at the C.H.E.F. Homeschool group in Accokeek, MD. She has been working with children, teens, and adults in the community for the past 23 years.
It has been a joy working with such amazing young artists. Ms. Mia has explored a variety of media, including pencil and charcoal, ceramics, jewelry making, mixed media sculpture, oil and acrylic painting, and various styles of printmaking. She has exhibited her artwork in W. Palm Beach, Fl., Panama City, Fl., Omaha, NE., and Charles Co. MD.
